Goalkeeper save percentage in the Premier League 2026/27: live top 10
Save percentage is the goalkeeper stat everyone asks for and the easiest one to misread, because a keeper behind a bad defence faces harder shots. This is the live Premier League top 10 this season, with goals prevented beside it so the workload and the shot quality are part of the picture.
Right now. James Trafford leads on 87% saved, 4 points ahead of Jordan Pickford. New to the 10 since the last change: David Raya. Biggest climber: Zion Suzuki, up 1 place to 6th.

What the numbers mean
Save percentage is the share of shots on target a goalkeeper keeps out: saves divided by saves plus goals conceded. It is the number most people reach for first, and it is a fair start, but it treats a tap-in and a 30-yard swerver the same. Goals prevented fixes that: every shot on target a keeper faces carries an expected value from how hard it was to stop, and the difference between that total and the goals he actually conceded says whether he is beating the average.
The bars put each keeper against every Premier League goalkeeper with 270 minutes and 10 shots faced: goals prevented, saves per 90 for the workload, saves inside the box per 90 for the hardest ones, and clean sheets. A full bar means the top of that group.
The list rebuilds every night from the latest matches, so it will move as the season goes on. The date on each card says when it last changed.

How is save percentage worked out?
Saves divided by shots on target faced, which is saves plus goals conceded, for goalkeepers with at least 270 minutes and 10 shots faced. Penalties count as shots faced.
What is goals prevented?
The expected goals on target the keeper faced, minus the goals he conceded. Every shot on target carries a value for how hard it was to stop, so a positive number means he has kept out more than an average keeper would from the same shots.
How often does it update?
Every night, from the latest matches. The order, the cards and the table rebuild together, and the date on each card says when the list last changed.
Reading the list
A high save percentage with a low goals-prevented figure means easy shots; a modest percentage with a high goals-prevented figure means a keeper carrying a defence. Saves inside the box per 90 is the workload line: the higher it is, the more often he is being left one on one. Each name opens a full FDscout profile with the goalkeeping numbers by match.
