What the numbers mean
Fouls won is the number that says who defenders cannot handle without breaking the rules. It is usually the dribblers and the strikers who play with their back to goal, and it carries real value: free kicks in dangerous areas, opponents on yellow cards, and the odd penalty.
The bars put each player against every Premier League outfield player with 180 minutes: fouls won per 90 for the rate, take-ons per 90 for where the fouls come from, touches per 90 for how much of the ball he sees, and penalties won for the biggest prize. A full bar means the top of that group.
The list rebuilds every night from the latest matches, so it will move as the season goes on. The date on each card says when it last changed.

What is a foul won?
A foul committed against the player, as given by the referee. Free kicks and penalties won both count; offsides and advantages played do not.
Why does it matter?
A player who is fouled a lot is a player defenders cannot cope with legally. He wins set pieces in dangerous areas, gets opponents booked, and tells you something about how direct he is on the ball.
How often does it update?
Every night, from the latest matches. The order, the cards and the table rebuild together, and the date on each card says when the list last changed.
Right now. Saša Lukić leads on 11 fouls, level with Adrien Truffert. New to the 10 since the last change: Adrien Truffert, Dominik Szoboszlai, Anton Stach, Dan Ballard.

What the numbers mean
Fouls committed is half a discipline stat and half a style stat. The players at the top are usually the ones asked to break up play, and a foul that kills a counter-attack is often the right decision. What separates a competitor from a liability is what comes with the fouls.
The bars put each player against every Premier League outfield player with 180 minutes: fouls per 90 for the rate, tackles won per 90 for whether the aggression wins the ball, yellow cards for the cost, and the tackle success rate for the timing. A full bar means the top of that group.

What counts as a foul?
Any infringement the referee gives against the player: a trip, a push, a handball, a late challenge. Offsides do not count.
Is fouling always bad?
No. A tactical foul that stops a counter-attack 60 yards from goal is coached. The bars show whether a player's fouls come with tackles won, which is a competitor, or with cards and few tackles, which is a liability.

Reading the list
Fouls won per 90 is the better guide than the total, and the pairing with take-ons per 90 says whether the fouls come from running at defenders or from holding the ball up under pressure. A high rate with few take-ons is usually a striker who draws contact; a high rate with many take-ons is a winger nobody can catch. Each name opens a full FDscout profile.
Fouls per 90 with a high tackle success rate is a player who competes hard and mostly times it right. Fouls per 90 with cards and few tackles won is one who arrives late. Managers read this list before a big game to know who can be drawn into a booking. Each name opens a full FDscout profile.
